More Tacoma houses from my 'hood...

... bored yet?

Check out the small blue one at the beginning of the sequence.  It's the GUESTHOUSE next to the MAIN house.

Oh, and the crazy schizz nailed to the tree??  Apparently the streets outside this house are on 24 hour video surveillance.  There's a sign that says "Smile, you're on Candid Camera."  I guess folks have tried to steal the skeleton, the hubcaps, the propeller, and the ukulele.   Who knew?

What I missed tonight because my battery shot craps AGAIN:  the sky at sunset over the Puget Sound was pale, pale pink.  The Sound was a matching pink with a tee-tiny sailboat with a pink tinted sail.  They were separated by a deep green jaggedy band of coniferous trees.  Close your eyes and imagine it.  Deep cleansing breath.  There you go; see it?

Sunset view...

.... from my bathroom.  Really.  Okay, okay.  I stood on the deck OUTSIDE the window.  But still.

I know, RIGHT??

More of Tacoma ....

... the historic Old Town / Stadium District where I am living.  The "Stadium" name comes from the famous high school mentioned in the last post.  More detailed photos of the HS to follow.  As well as more gorgeous neighborhood houses.  But my battery crapped out on me, so this is it for today.

Check out the crazy colors of the Puget Sound.

Yeah, I know. Enough, already.

.... views, sunsets, and some of the amazing things I can see from the windows.  Like Mt. Rainier.  Like Stadium High School (featured in the movie "Ten Things I Hate About You").  Like the Puget Sound.  Like sailboats.  Like big ships being nudged around by fussy tugboats.  Amazing.

Oh, and both of the kids sitting on the deck with me.  My little family.

More photos from the apartment...

... I do go out, I really really do.  But this is so much fun to come home to.  These shots are "establishing" shots as they say in film.  They show the entry hallway, and other shots in and around this beautiful home.

Bicycles in Tacoma...

.... lovely girls in their twenties rode up on these bikes to the restaurant where Ali and I were sitting outside, enjoying the sights, sounds, and temperatures (not Kansas!)  They were all dressed up for a nice lunch, decked out in dresses, pearls, flats and purses.  The bikes were so festive.
